Looking for a beach community that is ocean front, sound side, visitor friendly, with a great small town community. . . then you found the perfect spot in the barrier island of Atlantic Beach NC. This town is a must stop part of the Crystal Coast and offers the best that NC beaches has to offer all while being only a three hour drive to Durham.
Below are a list of some popular beach accesses in Atlantic Beach, all with paid parking that is used to give back to the community:
Circle Regional Beach Access - 201 West Atlantic Blvd
Provides over 300 paid parking spaces, bathroom facilities, picnic tables, and outside showers. Lifeguards on duty from 9am-6pm. Paid parking in the summer.

Tom Doe Memorial Beach Access
Located on Ocean Boulevard and features outdoor showers, restroom, a foot-washing station, handicap ramp and parking and beach playground. Additional parking along Henderson Boulevard.
The Les and Sally Moore Public Beach Access - 177 New Bern Street
Provides 50 parking spaces, bathroom facilities, picnic tables, and outside showers.

Fort Macon State Park
A seaside bathhouse and refreshment stand are open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 5:45pm Memorial Day through Labor Day, staff permitting. Guests will find over 500 free parking spots at the Park.
If you are looking for boating ramps, fishing piers, parking, and areas to dock, Atlantic Beach has your needs covered there too:
Moonlight Drive Ramp: Parking for 3 vehicles with trailers
Pelican Drive Dock: Town dock with water access
West Bogue Sound Drive Ramp: No parking
Bridge Abutment Parking Facility: Fishing landing with parking for 26 vehicles (including 4 boat/trailer spaces)
The Town of Atlantic Beach prides itself on accessibility to the community and visitors helping everyone enjoying their town ways to get to the water and have fun.
Another popular fishing and boating area is the Anchorage Marina. Here you can book deep sea fishing trips, family cruising, and fishing. You can find all of your needs for a fishing trip covered here as well as a place to stock up on some food and drinks before a day out on the water.

The Town Park “features a splash pad, large skatepark, 18-hole mini-golf course, half-court basketball court, picnic area, concession stand, & public restrooms. The park is free for use (mini-golf & concession stand items for a fee)” (Atlantic Beach | Parks & Attractions).
