Ackland Art Museum
If you enjoy arts and crafts, or exploring historical monumental art collections, then the Ackland Art Museum would be a wonderful adventure for you. Along with it being a museum, it is also the academic unit of The University of Chapel Hill. While North Carolina's art collection is featured at the Ackland Art Museum, they also have Asian, European, and contemporary art collections as well. 

There is a wide range of activities to choose from at the Ackland Art Museum. For those of you who don't just enjoy viewing arts, but creating art as well, there are certain days you can draw in the galleries as well...and of course at NO COST! This is a perfect place to bond with family and friends, and maybe enjoy a quiet picnic in the town there after. Although they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, they are open Wednesdays through Saturdays 10AM-5PM, and Sundays 1PM-5PM. Go out and see what wonderful arts await you. You won't be disappointed!

Carolina Basketball Museum 
One thing about North Carolina, it is well known for its success rate in sports. Basketball is one of the most influential sports within North Carolina. The Carolina Basketball Museum is a wonderful place to visit as it is known for celebrating the remarkable history of the University of Chapel Hill men's basketball program . You are more than welcome to take pictures, and videos, along with exploring the various historical artifacts within the museum. Oh, and don't forget there is FREE ADMISSION, and open to the public, Monday - Friday 10AM - 4PM, and Saturday from 9AM - 1PM. This is a sight you don't want to miss!
