POSITION CLOSED Carl Johnson Real Estate is excited to share this job post for part time administrative assistant. The purpose of this new position is to handle administrative duties and increase the revenue of the Carl Johnson Real Estate, LLC. The candidate should be motivated and self-managed so that Carl has more time to work with clients and grow the overall business.
This partially virtual position will start at 10 hours a week, working 2 hours a day M-F between the hours of 9am - 5pm. A great candidate is someone that can grow with the company
and expand hours as the business grows and additional time is needed for the position.
You will have control of setting a schedule for the 2 hours you will work each day so that Carl knows when he may interact with you. There may be a set schedule that does not change or a varying schedule that is set before 5pm the prior Friday.
A communication system will be set up so that all tasks are electronically logged. This system is shared between Carl and the administrative assistant. At this time we use the Apple note pad, however for this position it may be best to use Dropbox Paper. This is the system that the marketing team uses for all listings.
There will be a weekly in person meeting/drop off between Carl and the assistant where certain items will be delivered to Carl.
I am always open to ideas to make my business better, so I am looking for someone that will speak their mind. This is a great opportunity to learn from someone with years of experience in a variety of fields.

In Chatham County, there was a 6.8 percent decrease in the number of new listings in December, year to date, compared to last year, which decreased from 1,6743 to 1,624. The number of closed sales increased from 1,317 to 1,452, a 10.3 percent increase. Median sales prices also increased by 10.2 percent. In December, Chatham County median sales price exceeded the median sales price for all MLS listings.
In Durham County, new listings decreased by 3.5 percent and closed sales have increased by 4.2 percent year to date. Median sales price has increased 6.7 percent from this time last year, moving from $271,862 to $290,000. Average sales price increased by 6.8 percent year to date. In December, the Durham County median sales price was level with the median sales price of all MLS listings.
The number of listings in Orange County has decreased by 11 percent, from 2,292 new listings year to date last year to 2,041 new listings this year. There was a 2.2 percent decrease in closed sales. Additionally, median sales price increased by 4.1 percent, from $315,000 to $328,000. In December, Orange County median sales price exceeded the median sales price for all MLS listings.
In Wake County, there was a decrease of 1.8 percent in the number of new listings year to date compared to last year, which decreased from 24,952 to 24,502. The number of closed sales increased 6.8 percent from 21,480 to 22,944. Median sales prices also increased by 7.1 percent for December 2020 compared to December 2019. Compared to the median sales price for all MLS listings, Wake County median sales price were slightly higher in Decemeber.
