About Hillsborough Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Sunday Dec. 3rd at 4PM Historic Hillsborough comes alive with the Holiday spirit as it ‘Lights up the Night’ with a fantastic parade. The Hillsborough Holiday parade features bands, fire engines, local and area business floats, well-known mascots and cheerleaders, as well as Santa Claus and other special guest star performers and celebrity appearances. The parade is in the evening so that we can celebrate and ‘Light up the Night’ for the holidays. Downtown restaurants and shops are open to serve parade patrons before and after the festivities. Stop in and get some of that Christmas shopping done while at the parade! Stay after the parade and congregate at the Old Courthouse for the tree lighting and group caroling. About Durham Holiday Parade Saturday Dec. 9th at 10AM Kick off the holiday season at the Durham Holiday Parade! Cheer on hometown bands, drill teams, schools, and community groups as they make their way down Main Street at the Durham Holiday Parade. The procession will conclude with a guest appearance from Santa. Free Event Rain or Shine
