October 2019 new listings have increased by 11.5% from last year, while the amount of closed sales has decreased by 1.0%. The median sales price has moved from $246,000 to $273,747 (11,3% increase), while the average sales price has increased from $272,116 to $295,123 (8.5% increase). The average days on market has remained low but increased from 20 to 24.
In Orange County, there has been a 1.2% increase in new available listings and a 42.6% increase in closed sales. The median sales price has decreased from $317,250 to $302,000 (4.8% decrease), while the average sales price has also decreased from $389,675 to $367,199 (5.8% decrease). The average days a house is on the market until its sells have decreased from 43 to 33 (23.3% decrease).
Wake County has received a 9.3% increase in new listings and a 16.5% increase in closed sales. The median sales price has increased from $307,150 to $319,233 (3.9% increase) and the average sales price has increased from $343,757 to $362,392 (5.4% increase). The average days on market have risen from 27 days to 29 days.
